Biography

Mr. Kramer was elected to the board in November 2020.  He is serving his fourth term, having been elected in 2004, 2010, and 2016.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in social studies at the University of North Dakota, and a Master of Arts in Education with Administration and Supervision degree at the University of Phoenix.  He retired in 2016 as principal of Pierson Vocational High School in Nogales, after 29 years of serving as a teacher, coach, and administrator.  Mr. Kramer currently holds an Arizona teaching certificate and Arizona administration certificate and works for Pima as the Emergency Management and Evacuation Program Coordinator as well as the Insurance Liaison for Catastrophic Insurance.

He is married to Olivia, and has two children, Alexis, an ASU graduate, working for Banner Health and Kaeleb, a Rio Rico Hawk graduate and attending Scottsdale Community College.  Mr. Kramer has been an active community volunteer.  He participated in Rio Rico Clean Ups, Rio Rico Property Owners Association, HOA Association, Santa Cruz County Community Network Team, Santa Cruz County Water Board, and Santa Cruz County Juvenile Board Advisory.

Mr. Kramer's governing board priorities:
“Ensure that we are being fiscally responsible to the taxpayer regarding our construction projects, district expenditures, current in our technology instruction and infrastructure, we look to create more vocational opportunities in our high school, building recreational facilities that can be utilized after school hours, and that our teachers and staff are given all the resources needed to be creative, helpful, entertaining, knowledgeable, and caring, so that all of our students will have every opportunity to be successful.”
